Jesus. Clady is a huge loss. However, if there's a QB who can make up for an OL deficiency, it's Peyton Manning.

I thought they said Cladys injury would keep him out a month..

they loss their Center preseason I believe too.

Its gonna be interesting to watch them vs the Raiders this weekend. About the only thing the Raiders do well is put the QB on the ground consistently.

Brian Hoyer to start in place of Brandon Weeden this weekend, so he jumps Jason Campbell on the depth chart

Imagine if the Browns had RG3... That team is pretty loaded outside of QB.

Re: Around the NFL Week 3

Better to lose Ryan Clady now than right before the post season obviously.
Manning is one of those quarterbacks along with Brees/Brady/Rogers that can make Offensive Lines look better than they actually are. It is why they are elite so they should still be able to get home-field advantage.

TBO.com notes that even though the Chicago Bears wore alternate uniforms this past Sunday, the “C” decal removal was the only alteration to the helmet. The Buffalo Bills wore throwback uniforms, but simply used the 1960-style “buffalo” decal on their white helmets. Since Tampa Bay changed their colors, players would have to change helmets, which the league will not allow.

One wonders if this is also the end of "Pat Patriot." The Patriots have taken to wearing the old-school look with the iconic logo for throwback games, but "Pat Patriot" is depicted on a white helmet, and the Patriots normally wear silver. As the Uni Watch blog points out, Atlanta, Washington and Dallas might also be affected by this.

This is BS. A team can't wear a second helmet any more because they must now wear the exact same helmet all 17 games?

Stupid.

There goes throwbacks around the league.

Last time teams had to try to fit normal helmets into throwback uniforms, we had this crap:

Packers just announced they're going to use plain, decal-less yellow helmets with their throwbacks.

Pat Patriot will have to be on a silver helmet if NE wants to use him. That is going to look stupid.

No Rams throwback helmet now.

Where did this rule come from? Seriously...because a player wears a second helmet, they're more prone to get a head injury? They measure heads and they can be broken in during practice if it's really a concern.

This concussion fear is getting over-the-top. Yes, concussions are real and they are serious...but the ways they're trying to prevent them like the new kickoff rule with more kicks going into the end zone and now restrictions on uniforms that fans love to see...what are they thinking?

Brandon Meriweather is more likely to cause a concussion than a Bucs player wearing a white helmet instead of a pewter one...deal with him.

This will likely be changed by next year after someone somewhere with authority in the nfl realizes this is stupid. I'm not too worried about it.
