Thinking about heading up to the Linc
Soooo, I'm looking on stub hub and see some pretty nice deals for just a 2.5 hour drive. Any advice?
First, I've heard- "Hey... it's a hostile environment, but if you keep to yourself and stay sober you'll be fine". But I've also heard the obvious terror stories of just pure chaos and animosity. I'm a relatively big guy, and I'm not that worried about it. I'm curious as to if anyone has any insight that may have gone to a game sporting Redskins gear. I'm not worried about getting beer thrown on me or what have you, just looking for some pointers. Thanks!

I'd hazard a guess that their fan base will be softened up by the Universal Law of RGIII, which states that you can't help but like the kid.

Re: Thinking about heading up to the Linc
know several eagles fans who attend games, they strongly advise against wearing redskins gear. pride is one thing but safety is another.
obviously, not all eagles fans are maniacs, but i say better safe than sorry.

Buy a Redskins McNabb jersey for $3.99 and wear that to the game.

Re: Thinking about heading up to the Linc
My grandmother is as old as dirt and she can remember the days when Eagles fans would fight with Redskins fans. Its really not any different. When I was dating my ex in Philly she stressed to me not to wear my Redskins stuff around there.
I don't think its as bad as, "stab a bitch" Raiders fans. You'll probably fare fine if you roll 2-3 friends deep.

Re: Thinking about heading up to the Linc
Backed out- I ended up going to the Giants-Redskins and Ravens-Redskins games consecutive weeks- Then went up to Baltimore last weekend to see the Baltimore-Denver game. I can't really validate doing four consecutive weeks of football- Probably time to take a break and just get blackout at home :-)
Thank you for your input everyone, perhaps next year I'll end up doing it.
