Re: Marketing "Bob" Griffin

If he lives up to the hype on the field he's got superstar potential as far as marketing goes. I read that he plans on living off his endorsement money for now and banking his Skins contract. Smart kid.

Yeah, that's true. I know a lot of other athletes actually who do that, but it's rarely publicized. Think Tiger Woods did it, for one.

He has done nothing to earn the adult names "Robert" or "Bob." He should be called "Bobby" only.

actually the reverse is true for tiger..here lately he makes well more than 10 times in endorsement money than he makes in winnings...I read an article some time back that said he lives off of his winnings and banks the endorsement money

With Tiger I'd assume he'd live off the money he makes off of golf, which was a lot more than he made from golf.... and bank the endorsement money. Since his scandal I assume he's taken a massive pay cut from endorsements. lol.

I think that whole Osi talking smack kinda back fired on him .. yeah you are the champs , that goes without saying .. but everyone has already forgotten that ~ RG3 is the future for many years & nobody will remember Osi ... RG3 has the potential of marketing/ability that we DC sports fans have not had since I've been around (81') .. not to mention we might just have the next best thing to RG3 ... #Natitude ... god I hope this picture shows up in my post .. i was at the cubs vs dbacks game on MLB Network when I busted out this little diddy RG3 style behind homeplate

Wow, that's a lot of confidence, considering A) the Redskins' track record with drafting QB's, and B) the two rings on Osi's hand. I'd love to agree with you, but I live in Giants country and I can only imagine the laughter I would hear from them if they read those words.

I really don't consider it smack ,he said nothing negative about "Bob" or the Skins .I think it will actualy work out in Bob's favor.Osi is Osi and he's harmless...till he's on the field anyway.

I'm not going to lie, I feel you are trying to spin this. Osi doesn't go on the radio and say this if he's not trying to stir shit up. Personally, idc. It's not that big of a deal, and I enjoy calling him Bob Griffin, simply because for whatever reason it sounds more normal, as if there's no hype attached. But Osi is a talker, and when a talker talks, only a biased person would try to spin it like you did.

Then we agree to disagree
