Bonehead play of the week goes to...
No, not Ronnie Brown, I give it to Felix Jones

I was watching that and I thought the exact same thing. Even Joe Buck was fooled by it, he was like, "he got out of bounds so that'll give them time to run one last play." And then they were like, "oh that was 4th down, that's it." How did Felix Jones not know what down it was? Extremely dumb move.

No kidding. Ronnie Brown was dumb. But you don't get more boneheaded than Felix.
Which raises the question: what is up with the Cowboys offense? Those guys make tons of mental errors every week.

With all the teams that are putting premiums on getting a bunch of guys with good field sense, it's not so inconceivable that a lot of guys that lack it can all end up on the same team. If the Cowboys think there's an inefficiency in the market, that could explain the team-wide brain cramp.

I saw that. Dumb ass ran out of bounds on 4th down. He wouldn't have picked it up anyway. But what Ronnie Brown did was waaaay worse. He costed them points w/ that silly ass play.

I would see it like FJones' play cost them a shot at the game. Not a great shot, but still he ended any hope, and I do think he could have picked up the 1st down, and given them 4 shots at the endzone. Both moves were bonehead, but FJones' move was worse in my books.

Re: Bonehead play of the week goes to...
That's a gigantic IF, and that's why it's a pretty outlandish prediction. I don't have a problem with Hightower thinking we'll go to the Super Bowl. That's how I hope all the guys think. My issue is putting out there in the media. Creates an unnecessary stir.

We just need him to have a few good games and a bunch of so-so games with some mistakes that aren't completely devastating to the scoreboard. He's good for at least one INT and one fumble every game...the D knows this and steps it up.

Everyone laughed when Grossman predicted we'd win the division, doesn't seem as funny now. At least he's 1/1 with his predictions so far. |

Maybe one day a player should go out and say "we're going to be mediocre this year." I bet that probably doesn't get much coverage.

I'm all about confidence. I'm not all about Super Bowl declarations to the media. You can believe in your team and do it amongst yourselves. I'm just not a fan of spouting to the microphone. I always have and always will enjoy when the teams I cheer for play things close to the vest.
