Merriman goes to IR
I thought this was interesting by Adam S.
Chargers placed linebacker Shawne Merriman on Reserve-Injured with a calf injury. This means Merriman must be released by the team when he becomes healthy. Career in SD over. Distinction to be made here: Shawne Merriman can play again this season for another team. But he is finished in San Diego. Once Merriman is healthy, which could be in a couple weeks, Chargers must release him and he is free to sign with another team this season.

He's a bum, if he wasn't ever on HGH he wouldn't have done anything

Re: Redskins
Ol' Jerry Jones really looks smart for choosing D-Ware over Merriman despite his draft status.

Re: Merriman goes to IR
If not for Alexander playing so well, I think Merriman would be worth a look since he's played as a 3-4 OLB his whole career. I think the guy is about done though, and I bet Shanny doesn't want a dude like him.
Sad for the chargers' fans that their big names are gradually leavin town. |

Don't you mean Shanahan and Allen? If Snyder was still doing things, I think Peppers would be wearing a Redskins uniform this season.

I wouldnt be too mad at that. but they wouldda dropped a crapload of cash that could be spent elsewhere. Merrimans value is extremely low being injury plagued and really only having 2 good years Im sure his agent will inform to take any deal thats offered so he can prove his worth on the field. We might be able to snag him at vet minimum and theirs always use for depth at lb and u never know he might get some more of that hgh in him and throw qbs around like ragdolls lol. :cheeky-sm |

Re: Merriman goes to IR
There's this thing called "physical examination" teams give to players. I think, like, if he passes this thing, like, we should totally, like, sign him. It's brilliantly genius!

Like how many players have like passed physicals and like had further like injuries to the same like leg like a physical tells us more than if the dude has a f'in sports hernia. lol

Re: Merriman goes to IR
Yeah, I think it's safe to say the PED or HGH has pretty much ruined was starting to look like a brilliant career. That said, I think he still has some NFL years left, but his lights out days are probably over.

Re: Merriman goes to IR
You guys saying HGH is the reason his career is going in the tank have no idea what you're talking about. Do you have any proof of this?
