Post OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.

We got the Colts,@Bears and @Lions coming up.

We're 3-2 with a 2-0 Division record and a 3-1 Conference record.

Colts=Our least important game to win of the 3 games is the Colts game because of the AFC matchup. However,it is a home game and it's important to win these games. A win here would be big, in starting a nice winning streak though. I wish I could say this game and winning will earn us respect, but apparently...the 1-3 Cowboys are still the beast of the East...lol...But if there's such a thing called a "statement" game, this would certainly do it in my eyes. Not to mention we would be on a 3-game winning streak.

@Bears=This imo,is the most important game of the 3 games before the bye.Even if the bears have no passing game and Cutler is hurt, this is a very old rivalry game and you can expect a battle just like all our other games..The Bears are 4-1 and have a good chance of winning 10+ games. Even if they suck it up,but get a win here and there, they will more likely be at 8-8 or 9-7 with how fast they've started.I think their Defense is good enough to prevent a total collapse of 10 straight losses and so on. Which means if we are sitting there with that possible #5 or #6 seed or Division winning seeding, they will be there too and Head-to-Head matchups will play into who goes and who watches during playoff time or a 1st,2nd or 3rd seed. It's not a Must win game, but this game will be absolutely HUGE having tiebreakers over G.B. and the Bears in case there are identical records at the end of the season of either of these 2 NFC North teams. They go by head-to-head before ANY other criteria here. If we somehow slump and go 4-4 before the BYE...this is the #1 game we want guys of the 3!

@Lions=This is a big game too just because we want to maintain our good Conference record. I think we can all agree, that this is no 0-16 Lions team here. They have really put up a bunch of points, but have come up short in games. I would not be surprised if we were to beat the Bears and then lose to the lions. Wouldn't surprise me all. But regardless of outcome,i don't see the Lions making the playoffs this year. This is a mirrored game much like the Rams game. So although I really want this game and this will be big for our record and conference record. If you were to ask me...which conference game would I take a loss in,that would have the least affect of our Playoff position or the playoff picture?...It would be this one. But i would rather win this one of course, over the Colts game as far as impact on importance though.

I love this team and would love to win all 3 of these games. A 6-2 record going into the BYE week with a 2-0 Division record and a 5-1 Conference record would be awesome.

After the Bye...We got the Monday Night rematch of Philly @ Redskins.
Our 3rd Division game...and a week to prepare for it.

lets do this

I guess you didn't see the whole "let's wait until Wednesday to start talking about the next game" posting by Matty.

Ace, can I take a minute of your time.

Just a minute.

Thanks

IT'S FRICKIN' MONDAY AFTER A GOOD WIN. COULDN'T THIS THREAD HAVE WAITED TILL WEDNESDAY or never.

We have got lots of Positive/Negative threads. Wednesday Matty or someone will suggest carnal relations with a horse. And everyone knows what the upcoming schedule looks like (or heck they can look it up on ESPN/Fox/CBS if they don't)

Anyway. You start a lot of threads, and sometimes, maybe it would fit in an existing one instead.

BUT,

That's just my opinion, and I know you are a big-time Skins fan, so knock yourself out.

Thanks for the minute.

Thanks hog! Appreciate it.

This week was a bad week for me on the pick'm though...
I've been #1 on the Cowboys scout/rancher since week one,but I should slide after this week.

I was also #1 on the extremeskins Pick'm contest, but i will slide because of this week as well.

But oh well....I'm just glad we won!

Colts is a tough game only because Payton is on the field. I don't see us winning this game. Bears suck balls...everyone is on their dck. We can beat them. Lions just mauled the Rams. I fear them a lot only because the Redskins have propensity to have let down games against so-so teams.

Agreed. Peyton could make mince-meat of our pass defense. The other games are winnable. Chicago's o-line is an offense to blocking right now. We should be able to pressure whoever starts for them which means we could end up putting Collins in the hospital or forcing Cutler to throw 3-4 picks. We'll see though. We do tend to play to our opponent's level quite fantastically. The Lions are an improved team but I would hope that the guys who were here last year are a little more motivated to put them down since we laid such an egg against last year. We win those 2 and lose the Indy game and we're 5-3 into the bye. I'd take it considering some of the teams we will have played.

I'm fairly certain Walter won't be on the field.

A few weeks ago, I was scared about the schedule coming up...the Packers, Colts and Bears stretch.

We manhandled the Packers, look at their injury report, and won.

The Colts are looking uncharacteristically beatable. They lost to the Jags and have not looked very convincing in their wins. They're beat up worse than the Packers coming into the Skins game...Addai and his backup Donald Brown could miss the game, leaving Mike Hart to start. Even if Addai goes, he'll be limited. Their defense is missing a lot of key players, mainly in the secondary that is as beat up as Green Bay's.

Chicago went from looking like world-beaters to...well, what we expected from them. Cutler started to come back down to Earth, then was injured. Their running game is effective, but their passing game is nonexistent with Collins in and feast-or-famine with Cutler in, with more famines due. They're one dimensional. Only their defense has been effective. Scoring 13 points could beat them.

The Lions won't beat us this year. Yes, they destroyed the Rams that beat us...but we didn't show up that day, plain and simple. I don't think Coach Shanahan will allow that to happen again after that embarrassment.

If not for the stupid kicker-icing tactic and the rule (or lack of) allowing it...we'd be 4-1.

I expect us to win 2/3 or maybe all 3 of these upcoming games.

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.

What Jay Culter could do in Shanny's offense was execute the short passing game very well. We do not have that element here. Hopefully "not yet".

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.

I expect Torain to break out against the Colts. Not only does their run D stink, the running game has excelled against or would have excelled against two 4-3 defenses this season(Eagles and Rams). The Texans game doesn't count because we didn't need to run.
