Lorenzo Alexander
Anyone else scratching their heads at this guy? He starts playing offensive guard and defensive lineman... He's a special teams standout and gets downfield quick at 275lbs, and now he's a better COVERAGE guy than Andre Carter, who used to play linebacker?? I know he can hit (oh my god I've watched that kickoff hit over and over and over) but can he really play coverage better than Carter, and is he a viable long term option at OLB? Having said that I am ordering a custom LA jersey (no, not Lavar) because I am a big fan of blue collar football players, and this guy has my utmost admiration as a player.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
It should come as no surprise that Carter is bad at coverage. He couldn't make the adjustment in SF, and it's apparent he can't here. Carter does have value still at pass rushing.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
Lorenzo rules! I think he makes the whole defense better when he starts at OLB. And, yes, that is pretty amazing for a guy who was on the offensive line.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
Yeah, over the winter Haslett was saying that Carter would be better in our 3-4 than he was in SF. Yeah, right.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
He's my favorite player since Art Monk.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
Huge fan. I litterally can not believe how good he's been in coverage. And yet once again, the kickoff hit. He must be an incredible athlete to make the transition between O-line, D-Tackle, and now outside LB, as well as special teams. I really look forward to watching him play this year, I'm rooting for him, big time.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
I think this guy must have sold his soul to the devil or something.
He certainly should not be a starter in any NFL role...but he is doing well There is something weird going on here.

He has the instincts to play football well. That's my take.

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
The guy is remarkable. I'm sure the knock will be well he would never make any other roster, but I don't buy that. This guy works hard, has shown his value at multiple positions, and would be a strong contributed on just about any team. He's as valuable as any player we have right now

Re: Lorenzo Alexander
He's a classic Joe Gibbs type player, I would love a roster full of Alexander type players with his character and skills.

He doesn't surprise me anymore. He's just a solid all around football player.
