That's idiotic.

He's an overhyped rookie. Their jersey sales are always up at first. Last year, Michael Crabtree was in the Top 5 for a while.

Idiotic? I'm sure that some of it has to do with the religious following.

Sure, I'm sure a few religious people have bought them...but that wouldn't be enough to fuel a #1 jersey sales rank.

The term "Bible beaters" was the most idiotic part of the post.

Doubtful that all the fellows following the Broncos are of the "zealous" Protestant variety.

No they arent, but the causal(NFL) and religious fan will buy the Jersey to support what he stands for.

Well, with the info being relatively incomplete for statistical data analysis, we're at a stalemate. Still, given that 30% of the buyers are Floridians, and assuming another 20% are Broncos fans getting their new fix, I still think it is sort of a stretch that there would be that many buyers buying for religious reasons, but that's my speculation.

So many bottom of dresser draws will be lined with Tebow jerseys in the next few years.

Re: Tebow leads April jersey sales (McNabb #2)

Does anyone know what % of profits, if any, that each team and player makes for their jersey sales?

I'm not sure if it's still the same, but if I remember right a couple of years ago at least it was something like the NFL gets 13% of all merchandise sales and that's split across all 32 teams.

That applies to sales made at NFLShop.com and third-party sites. Redskins get a larger cut if the jersey is bought at one of their stores, but not sure what it is.

In conclusion...I don't know the answer to your question

I would think the NFL and teams would share the profit from the sale of products to the skins stores then the skins make their profits off the sales at the stores. Same would go to any store that sells NFL products.
