PFT: Predict Skins To Take Trent Williams
According to PFT, the top 5 is coming into focus and the Skins will take Trent Williams (OT).
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ng-into-focus/ Top five coming into focus Posted by Mike Florio on April 20, 2010 9:35 AM ET On Sunday, it appeared that the first five picks in the 2010 draft could unfold in several different ways. Now, with the draft little more than two days away, it's getting clearer. Here are the first four names we think we'll hear on Thursday night: (1) Sam Bradford (2) Ndamukong Suh (3) Gerald McCoy (4) Trent Williams. At No. 5, it's unclear what will happen. |

I think the idea is that Okung is more polished but Williams has more raw athletic talent. Also, there are some clear points on film where he (Okung) was beaten by less than stellar defensive ends.

Don't take this as a challenge but I'd be very interested in seeing this. All the "film" I've seen on Okung make him look like a demi-god.

Re: PFT: Predict Skins To Take Trent Williams
People think that Williams can't play LT because he struggled in his first game last year and Bradford got hurt. But if you watch Williams' progress throughout the season you'll see that he improved at LT (plus he's played at RT and some C) so he's very versatile and extremely athletic. Okung, not so much.
What you get out of Okung now could be pretty much what you'll get for the next decade. And that's not a bad thing. But when you see Williams you could be getting a guy who maybe "struggles" a bit early, but then totally takes off...or totally collapses. I can see the Redskins taking Okung at #4. But I've gotten no sense that they really value him that high. But without a 2nd round pick right now (and until the Brown trade becomes official...or not), they may have no choice but to value Okung that high

As we're getting closer, talks for Brown have really picked up. Brown reportedly met with representatives of the Redskins this past weekend (now I know he's met with Dr. James Andrews but I don't think that's who it is). So, long story short, is latest I've heard is Rocky and a pick in 2011 for Brown. If we throw in someone else we might get a 2010 pick in return but not likely. There are a few teams interested in Brown so we'll just have to wait and see on him. But we're definitely very, very much in the running. I've also heard, kind of a side note, that we might be looking at him as a RT. Can't confirm though

Re: PFT: Predict Skins To Take Trent Williams
In the Pro Football Draft Guide 2010 the said TW (Trent Williams) is short with short arms that's the only magazine that said this, is there any truth to it.

Re: PFT: Predict Skins To Take Trent Williams
Let's compare both to Chris Samuels, whom I believe would have been a great OT in Shanahan's zone blocking scheme. Do either of these guys have similar athletic ability? I will trust that Allen/Shanahan will make the right call, but if we draft the raw talent (Williams), and he flames out, we'll be gnashing our teeth once again over another blown top-5 pick. I'd feel much better going for the safer pick (Okung) this high in the draft, but that's just me.
