Redskins Ban Interviews with Tailgaters.
On WUSA-9's 11 pm Tuesday night broadcast, anchor Derek McGinty dropped this bomb:
"Tonight the Redskins have seemingly escalated things again; they've banned media interviews with tailgating fans on FedEx Field property," McGinty said. "They told our sports director Brett Haber that this has always been team policy, but when he pointed out that we and other stations, including their very own broadcast partners, have in fact always talked openly to tailgaters, there was, well let's just say, no further explanation." Has Snyder gone off the deep end? He is acting like a megalomaniac! |

Yep, can't remember if that was covered in the "free speech" thread or just in one of the links/stories that I've followed.
How pathetic. |

Re: Redskins Ban Interviews with Tailgaters.
I thought this thread was going to have a punch line. Wow, just wow. Is Dan Snyder going to show up to the next game wearing epaulettes and adorned with military medallions? Can someone give me a reason not to completely give up on this organization?

I don't know why people keep going...seriously tell people not to go to games and don't go to games yourselves. Dan Snyder is a piece of s***

Re: Redskins Ban Interviews with Tailgaters.
Well, if you would like to buy my tickets to make your statement, I am willing to help you with that. But I refuse to sell mine to a non-skins fan. However, my remaining tickets have a face value of $4000(they are good seats), so if you want to buy me out and make a stand then I am all for it. It's easy to say you shouldn't go when you don't have hard earned money wrapped up in it already.

The best response is to stop going to the games period

Re: Redskins Ban Interviews with Tailgaters.
I've been saying that along as well. Snyder probably has already made his profits for this year from the ticket sales, but he can still get sucker punched by people not showing up, parking in his parking lots, buying his food and drinks, etc...

I am in Detroit so I only can make Skins road games in the rust belt, but I am not buying another Skins item until at least they hire a GM and Snyder gets his head out of his ass. Skins fans need to do what Lions fan do and just not show up. THe cost is ridiculous in itself, but to watch crappy football is just another slap in the face. I can go to see my Alma Mater play on Saturdays for as little as $10 and those kids give a better effort than the Skins do. They lose most of the time, but at least they come to play. |
