Re: 37 Reed Doughty
Reed will have a good game, but I hope he doesn't try to do too much...from what I hear, he's got a lot of potential.

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
I'd be thrilled just to see him cover effectively, and not get burned deep

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
Yeah, I would like to see him just do his job. Not give up anything big but play his part. An INT or a huge hit would be nice though .

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
I've been following Reed's story since I read the WP article last year about his son. Having two daughters 2 and 1 years old repsectively really made the story hit home for me...I hope that Reed would do good so that he could keep the paychecks coming to help take care of his baby...
I'd love to see Reed step in and fill the shoes, HUGE though they may be not only for Sean, but also for Micah... Good luck this weekend buddy... HTTR!!!

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
Doughty's press conference was the most moving to me. When he was asked that inane question about whether the guys were crying and he choked up and said "Of course...it's real."
Damn I miss S.T.

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
One positive to Sean taylor's death is that a great guy in Reed Doughty is stepping in to take over. Hopefully he will flourish and his child will get better care that he will be able to afford and Sean Taylor's death will breed life for others. And for that clip of Reed, it brings a tear to my eye everytime i think about it.

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
Reed is a young good football player, who has really good promise for our team. IMO he can be real good for us, he flies around makes solid plays and is a hard hitter.
He's also one heck of a guy. I look foward to him having a great game against the bills.

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
reed needs to step in,all we heard about Doughty was that he was a player in the making,so Hopefully he can get out there and play decent.Maybe now Landry wont be Blitzing so often cause he might need to go into coverage with Doughty.

Re: 37 Reed Doughty
The talent drop off is big, maybe huge, but it's unfair to Reed & 98% of the safeties in the league to ask them to replace the talent of ST. He was that gifted & was really becoming a great safety.
Reed Doughty has a tough job simply because he's replacing Sean. It's got to feel awkward to say the least. I think he can become a decent safety but is never going to be a pro bowler. We'll see a lot of Prioleau too. |
