How can we pull it off?
Its great that we go a win, no matter how we did, but lets look into next week; how can we beat New England? What are the keys to our success?

Re: How can we pull it off?
I think we would be most successful if we just didn't show up at the stadium .
But honestly, we need to pressure Brady to even have a chance. I think if we get Marcus Washington back our chances of beating the Patriots greatly go up. You know I hate to say this but we don't stand much of a chance, but neither does the rest of the NFL. The Patriots look like they are the best team assembled since the salary cap was implemented. |

Re: How can we pull it off?
By resting Washington and Rabach I give us a chance, they did the smart thing. Next week you put McCardell into the mix, activate as many DB's as possible and make sure the hurt ones can play, if they can't, then bench them for the week. The key to this game is containing the WR's, Welker is the one to watch, he's their X-factor, we need to get the running game going, Cooley more involved. We need to play with intensity (treat this game like a playoff game). I seriously think that we have a chance, especially after a subpar game by our offense today.

I don't think people remember how good the broncos the second time around were. I think they definitely had a better defense and john elway was playing better than brady (not statistically, but from a game winning standpoint).

Score points, lots of points! Attack! Attack! and attack some more. Randy Moss won't, can't, out jump ST and I'm sure ST will be playing his best game.

Re: How can we pull it off?
Our o-line is going to have to play amazing, which I doubt will happen and we need to pressure the crap out of Brady.

Re: How can we pull it off?
I believe that Taylor will make deep plays much more difficult for Moss. The guy who scares me is Welker killing us underneath and Watson deep down the middle of our 2 deep zone. We almost certainly will need to start in nickel given all of Brady's weapons.
On offense, I'd like to see us use 3 and 4 WR sets to spread the field. If Moss is still in his funk, Gibbs should give Lloyd a shot to stretch the defense. If the Skins don't approach 30 points this week, they will lose by 2 TDs or more. It's time to open up Saunders' 700 page playbook and trust Campbell to make plays. Campbell will have to play better than he did against Detroit for us to have a realistic shot in NE. |

Re: How can we pull it off?
I lay it all on our defense. Let our D line provide most of the pressure through out the game with a safty blitz sprinkled here and there. I expect the key is HARD hitting. Our secondary needs to lay the wood on the Pats receivers. We need to get in the receivers heads instead of Bradys. Bradys proven hes a true vet. Hes seen alot and beat most of it. We need to force the Pat receivers to flinch, drop some balls and stall some drives.
With our offense, we need to continue to stay with what we have been doing and cross our fingers, at least for the 1st half. It has shown it has been working the past few games. If our defense shows it can contain the Pat offense, I would show up in the 2nd half throwing the ball more. I honestly think this would catch the Pats off guard and allow 1 or 2 big plays. Enough to end this game. We have been perdictable in the 2nd half, this is the perfect game to finally buck this trend. If the Pats start getting ahead like the other teams they have played, then we will have no choice to air it out. Though I would expect the Skins to lose. The offense is not established enough to play the Pats game and expect to win. Finally, we need the special teams to put in their two cents here. They have been play pretty good ball, except maybe the kicking. A big play would definately give a good edge for the skins to win, but this side of the ball is to unpredictable to count on this. Good field position is all I hope for and expect. |

I ask you, how do we plan to score against their D?

Re: How can we pull it off?
I have no expectations to see the Skins win next weekend. But I do expect to see New England in a dogfight that they haven't yet seen this year.
I've already put in a bet with someone that we'll stay within 20 points. |

Re: How can we pull it off?
Maybe this has been our plan all along. To make the teams in the NFL think our offense is this weak, pitiful philosophy that can't score more than 14 points a game. Maybe we're holding off to unveil our true offense against New England?
Or maybe we'll bring our Redskinettes with us to New England and let them stretch and warm up in front of the Patriots? LOL!
