Cooley said the Lions quit

Philip Zaroo, of MLive.com, reports Washington Redskins TE Chris Cooley said the Detroit Lions quit in the second half of their Week 5 game. "I think it was a contributing factor in why we won the game," Cooley said. "I mean, Detroit's not practicing in 90-degree heat. We have been. We were pretty used to it. They were dead in the second half. They didn't care. It seemed like they didn't care what happened."

Just hope we don't have to see them in the playoffs.

That would be posted on the bulletin board fer sure.

I am not sure we're good enough YET to talk smack...lets beat the packers and cardinals first...I'm starting to get the feeling that this team is high on itself....and I'm not sure if that's good or bad

Um, I think that would be a bad thing if we were high on ourselves. We can't afford to get cocky this early.

We were dead in the second half against the Giants. Stone Cold.

Yeah, I think if that happened, then everybody in the league would fear us.

But, about the subject. Really, honestly, I'm not sure I'd say the Lions quit in the second half. There were points where the door was open for them to come back on us. If anything, I think we did a good job of shutting them down.

I think this is actually being taken out of context, this interview was on Elliot in the Morning, he and Elliot always have a joking relationship. Cooley in general doesn't have the ability to be serious about anything.

ATTENTION: THOSE WHO DO NOT READ ALL POSTS IN THREADS.

Start doing that. This was a quote taken out of context from EITM. Go to the website to understand it.

Ouch. You know Gibbs pulled him in his office and gave him a lecture.

Re: Cooley said the Lions quit

Even if he was serious who cares. Would anyone actually be afraid of playing the Lions again this year?

As long as they keep refusing to run the ball they are no threat to hit Kitna's 10 win prediction.

I beg to differ, look at their schedule. They could easily win 10 games. Just because we beat someone doesen't mean they are out of it for the rest of the year.

Re: Cooley said the Lions quit

I'll take that bet. They won't win 10 games I'll guarantee it right now.
