Novak Is Not The Answer!
Ok he did finally get a kick through the up rights but he is alot worse than Hall. He missed the game winner and then really got lucky to get a second chance and all of this had to happen for that second chance. Stop Dal. from scoring a TD, then block almost a give me kick, then have ST pick up the ball (I think only ST could have made that play), then get a face mask of 15yards and not 5 (it could have gone either way) and then he got his chance. Is Hall done for the year or can he come back at some point I just do not think Novak is that good and we just can't rely on them for kicking FG>

I think you speak the obvious, dude. Which is why it was such a thrililng shock to watch him make that field goal. I doubt there was a fan there at FedEx that day that believed he was going to make it from 47yards away. WHAT AN ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
He really makes me nervous. He's just not accurate from any range right now. Maybe that kick will give him a boost of confidence.

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
I hope so because. He makes me alot more nervous than Hall and if that kick didn't turn left just at the end is was going to be no good. Matty can Hall return this year or is he done?

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
The kick really might boost his confidence. When he was at Maryland, he hit a 46-yard FG at Georgia Tech with no time remaining and then hot another to win the game in OT. After that, he went on a roll. Let's hope the same thing happens again.

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
Didn't he do the same exact thing last year in Seattle. Miss a game winner before getting a second chance and winning the game?
I don't think Hall is eligible come back this year.

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
Kicking is like golf--it's very mental. Hopefully, this will give him the boost in confidence he needs. He was good at MD, so we know he has the ability. He's just got to get the seasoning. Hopefully, it will come sooner rather than later. We need every friggin point we can get!

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
he's got the leg, he just doesnt have the mechanics down, his ball trails all over the place, he can't kick straight. Got help us on kicks for the rest of the year.

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
If we spend any significant money in free agency next year it better be on the best available kicker. Anyone know who will be available??

Josh Brown, UFA, Seattle Seahawks Brown is probably the best kicker on the market next off season, so he gets a mention. Team’s looking for a proven leg will make an offer, but I don’t see Brown going anywhere. Other Free Agent Kickers Rian Lindell, UFA, Buffalo Bills Josh Scobee, RFA, Jacksonville Jaguars Lawrence Tynes, RFA, Kansas City Chiefs 2007 NFL Free Agent K Brown is very good, but other than that, not much to get terribly excited about... |

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
Brandon pace has been very reliable for VT for the last few years, and has great range. Maybe he will be around at the end of the draft.

Re: Novak Is Not The Answer!
hes been good this year, but he has the tendency to miss big fg's (auburn game 20 yard fg missed...missing others)
