Fred Baxter is wearing #43. That was one of those unofficially retired jerseys -- it belonged to Larry Brown. I guess Gibbs officially "unretired it".

I doubt Baxter will wear #43 come the regular season. I don't think he's eligible, as a tight end, to wear that number

Cooley is going to wear #47 though isn't he? Can h-backs wear TE and FB numbers?

Hadn't thought of that Matty. Technically Tight Ends can only wear between 80-89, as is my understanding
However, if you classify Koz and Cooley as H-Backs (aka running backs) then they could wear 43 and 47, respectively
