Randle EL to the Bears????

RotoWire is reporting that El is about to sign with Chicago. The only hold up is the length of the contract. Maybe the Redskins were only looking at Lloyd?

Re: Randle EL to the Bears????

The Bears contacted Randle El's agent and have discussed at length a long-term deal for the wideout, the Chicago Tribune reports. The Cowboys, Eagles and Redskins are also thought to be in the hunt for Randle El, but the Bears have made signing him a top priority and his Chicago roots could give them the edge.

Re: Randle EL to the Bears????

he'd be a great compliment for moss but i think we need a bigger WR who can play kinda like a mushi or plaxico size

too bad they aint FAs lloyd is lookin like a better fit never know tho he had rattay and dorsey and like 8 other scrubs throwin him the ball so we'll see

chicago tribune also said this which may be a GOOD THING

"The two sides are discussing a deal of five or six years, believed to be valued in excess of $20 million. The Bears will have to wait until Randle El visits the Redskins, but they made a strong start to upgrade their offense."

Re: Randle EL to the Bears????

6 years for 20 sounds reasonable but the Skins shouldn't pay more than that.

Yeah, even that's kinda high though (at least under the old CBA). 3.5 million per year for a 3rd stringer sounds like a lot (even if it is backloaded).

Re: Randle EL to the Bears????

Someone start a thread for the Wizards game tonight. For some reason Atlanta doesn't get that game.
