The Washington Redskins' season came to a close in the gloom of a 27th straight day of rain in the Pacific Northwest on Saturday as their largely anemic offense could not capitalize on a critical fourth-quarter turnover by the Seattle Seahawks and a first-quarter injury that forced the National Football League's top running back out of the game.
