Don Banks' Take on that thing that happened yesterday...

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/200...nts/index.html

Here's a link to Don Banks' column on SI.com. His take on the game seems honest, but somehow the Eagles get away with only one derogatory sentence... We deserve to take a beating in the media this week but what about Philadelphia? Surely they deserve it just as much as us, but all of the talk will be about "being overcome by injuries" and "McNabbs heroic effort" blah blah blah.

I'm not reading, watching or listening to anything about the NFL this week. I just can't...

Oh well, let the whipping in the media begin. We deserve some of it, let's face it 36-0 is pretty bad.

Personally I'm gonna try to avoid it as much as possible this week. I didn't even bother watching any of the NFL highlights from yesterday.

I know. For the first time in a long time, I didn't turn on Sportscenter this morning...

We can't just say we'll beat the Bucs because they lost to the Niners, who we killed. If we play anything like yesterday, we couldn't beat a college team, let alone the Bucs.

none of it ever adds up. i didnt watch any highlights either and just noticed that SFO beat TB. there ya go. the "best" nfc team loses to one we smashed. it was nothin more than a fluke. no way gibbs/williams are gonna lose like that ever again. it sucked but it seemed like we werent even rdy.

heck; maybe they threw the game 'cos that one guy died. just to give ny a laugh. holler. we'll beat philly next wk don't worry.

That was an abberation, don't expect to see it happen again. Ever.

Bucs will be our 'rented mule'. They have nothing.

Yea, i'm going to try to avoid any sports related media (besides this site of course). We'll take alot of abuse this week.

To the benefit of the eagles, they at least made it a game for awhile. So our beatdown was far worse than the eagles. That is just the truth.

I think we do better as underdogs anyway. Let's hope we get some good bulletin board material this week and the team comes out fired up!

As for the loss, I'm going to try to block it out of my mind. Probably get more work done this week anyway.

i think the team will learn their lesson from this loss and never let it happen again...They should come out even better because of how much they're going to get killed by the staff and the media this week

yeah correct, we fans should also have short memory (as do the players and the coaches) and move forward to the next game
