Two-Tight-End Sets Work in Redskins' Favor
When the Redskins drafted tight end Fred Davis with a second-round pick, many fans' initial reaction was that the pick was wasted. After all, Chris Cooley held down the ship more than adequately last season. He has been a huge favorite in DC, and moving him did not appear to be option.

Of course! Having three (love Yoder) quality tight ends is going to put a tremendous amount of pressure on defenses, especially the line backers. I imagine Cooley will finally be set free. He'll will be shifting and play the slot receiver position a lot.

Zorn is inexperienced at the HC and Playcalling positions. I will give him the benefit of the doubt, and assume he will work twice as hard to succeed. IMO, he is nobody's idiot and will have Great success.
I personally CANNOT wait to see what sets Zorn dreams up to F... with opposing D's. There are certainly a couple of IF's on our offense, but there is much reason for joy in Skinsland! Look at the bright side, Matt Millen could be our guy.

Re: Two-Tight-End Sets Work in Redskins' Favor
I think the two tight end sets will be a great aspect of the offense. it will take pressure of all the other receivers and put it on the opposing defense for an opportunity one on one of even if one of them are covered one on one by a linebacker cooley and davis will toast an lb every down. most of all just like with the passing game as a whole will help open the running game for CP and make it alot easier than last year.
p.s. actually saw cooley in dulles mall today. he couldnt sign any pictures bc of a contract with the store but he would personlize a signed one. but a real nice guy and personalized a signed one for me and his wife is a DIME

Re: Two-Tight-End Sets Work in Redskins' Favor
Yoder is already a good compliment to Cooley and not a big contract. Cooley needs to come off his high-catching-horse and start blocking when called upon. Fred Davis already scares me with his character and personality (a little soft spoken and immaturity). But his game speaks louder. I'll take this as a luxury pick but isn't this the ideal situation to roll the dice with a stock fallen DE Calais Campbell? We did just that two spots later with WR Kelly.
Yes the draft is over but, I would've been very happy with Devin Thomas, Calais Campbell, and Malcolm Kelly. Erasmus James seems to have fit the bill and possibly someone else after today... |

Sellers will still play as much but, utility man Lorenzo Booker may be out of a job as he lined up tight on the OL in goal line and short yardage situations...

Re: Two-Tight-End Sets Work in Redskins' Favor
I'm sure he meant L. Alexander. By the way isn't he better suited size wise for the d-line? I know he got used in o packages last year but I figured it was because we were down to 3rd and 4th string - or was it 4th and 5th string - wait, 5th and 6th?
