Redskins-Eagles Game Balls

If I could give 2 game balls to any two players, I'd give the first to Jason Campbell. Although JC threw a pick and didn't light up the Eagles, he played well, particularly when it mattered most. I'd give my second game ball to Rocky McIntosh. Rocky just seems to be all over the place and, in just two games, has 21 tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 FF. If Fletcher is our defensive leader, McIntosh appears to be the defensive playmaker.

I thought about giving a game ball to Suisham or Frost, if for no other reason than it has been a long while since we've had a reliable kicker or punter in D.C. But, neither had an outstanding night. I'd like to give a game ball to a member of the secondary, but no one player stood out; the secondary simply played a great game as a unit.

Who would you give your game balls to? Sorry, but it would be really awkward to lay out every possible combination of two players for the poll. Please just vote for the player or coach who most deserves a game ball.

Went with other because I couldn't decide--the D as a whole, JC, Laron, CP, a total team effort, as they say. Not perfect, by any means, but a solid team win on the road.

Re: Redskins-Eagles Game Balls

I went with Jason Campbell, he didn't have a great game but he made plays when he needed to and was overall very effective back there, despite the fact that it was his first time playing on national t.v. on monday night. Did you see the way the NFLN were talking about him afterwards? I think our young quarterback just gained a hell of a lot of media exposure after tonight.

Campbell all the way. He looks like we FINALLY have a QB to build around. He made mistakes but also made HUGE plays when needed. His scrambling and mobility was just beautiful and his long pass to Moss was right on the money as was the TD to Coooooley.

I'd have to say for all-around good gameplay JC. He really came out of his shell this game.

But the gamesaver ball had to go to Landry

Who knows what kinda havoc could've ensued if Curtis caught that pass.

Andy Reid, for calling that TO at the end of the 2nd half. If he doesn't call the timeout JC doesn't throw the TD.

i wouldn't have said portis at first. i know he had a td, but he had limited yards, but then i remembered his effort on that int to try and knock the ball loose. noone has jc's back like cp. and noone in this league brings it play for play like he does.

Rocky, as a representative of a defense that allowed no TDs to the Eagles for the first time in... I don't know how long.

Re: Redskins-Eagles Game Balls

It was a good team effort on both sides of the ball, if I had to single out one guy it would be Pete Kendall who looked like he had been playing guard for the Skins for years. What a great pick-up he was.

Re: Redskins-Eagles Game Balls

I would say the ball goes to JC. Two weeks in a row he's had to play a close game. I know he's not really a rookie, but last season was a mess, and he's really getting tested early to keep his composure. He came out right after the pick, and had a good drive. I'm not mad about the pick, but when Santana was wide open 40+ yards down the field and he over threw him......RRrrrrrrr.

Re: Redskins-Eagles Game Balls

Gotta go with JC. He made some key plays and kept his poise all night long. Huge win for a young QB to go on the road in the division and come out on top. Big step forward for Campbell. Big.
