DT Can't Keep His Mind Off Football
Can’t Keep My Mind Off Football - thomas11 Blog post
I definitely hear a new tone in all the interviews and comments from anyone associated with the Skins. This blog from DT is a far cry from the year he came out and said he just needs to get away (granted he makes a similar comment in this one but puts his desire for football over it). Also, the way this team has rallied to Coach Shanahan, sure seems an indictment of Zorn. Not that MS isn't "worthy" of it, it is the consistency and tone of the comments that seem to knock Zorn without using his name. |

He calls himself "showtime" huh? Hope he lives up to that name soon.

Devin Thomas can make all the progress in the world, but without improvements in the offensive line we'll get no more production out of him.

Re: DT Can't Keep His Mind Off Football
I expect DT to really take off this year. I agree with him about the team being a reflection of the coach and expect more discipline, less penalties. As Schneed mentioned and I've mentioned in other posts, we need an o-line that will give the QB time to use the weapons we have. Once we have that, we'll see the progress these guys have made and see more points on the board. I think DT and most of the other players are excited about Shanahan and BA being here and it will reflect in both the way they play, and the way they approach the season.

I agree we have to protect the QB whoever it is.

Re: DT Can't Keep His Mind Off Football
Sounds good. We need an OL and a good WR coach i hope KM is that coach. I think DT, MK, MM, FD & Cooley are destined for good things in 2010 on the field we just need to give our QB a good OL.

Re: DT Can't Keep His Mind Off Football
McCardell should be able to whip him into shape and Shanahan's offense always seems to inflate the stats of his offensive players.

It's nice seeing an athlete that can form complete sentences and knows how to use paragraphs

With a new coaching staff coming aboard everyone is going to be careful to say the right thing. The pressure is on to be accountable and everyone is beginning to feel the heat.

I still think he stinks, but I would love for him to prove me wrong.

Re: DT Can't Keep His Mind Off Football
He showed some flashes last year and we have every reason to expect more improvement this season. He came out of Michigan State with only a year starting under his belt so we should have expected a learning curve his first couple of seasons. Hopefully his 3rd year he really turns it on!
