Gibbs: two awful calls
Said he didn't want to go into too much or he'll get fined, but he basically shook his head and said two awful calls that went against them.

Interesting to note this is the second week in a row he's had less than kind of words about the officiating. Remember last week when he complained about the false start call on Samuels.
I think he should speak his mind, never mind the fine. I'll bet Snyder would jump right in and pay that fine no problem

I think there was bad calls all around. We got away with a couple, but the bad calls had a bigger effect on the Redskins.

I didn't think about it at the time, but I had to drive to Breezewood PA and back on Sunday and I saw a cop car full of referees. At the time it was just kind of humorous. Now I know where they were headed.

Too bad you didn't cut them off. Maybe some subs would have been used. If they got som local high school refs, they CERTAINLY would have done better than that sorry ass crew.
I'm glad Gibbs did say something, and that he did it with class (as usual). When a head coach goes overboard with that stuff, the media (and NFL fine) just makes him look foolish.

Yeah. He did man up and comment on the misuse of TOs and/or the challenge. I had commented earlier about the lack of imagination on offense. And many of the experts are saying the Gibbs was out coached by Parcells and his staff. I agree somewhat. But, I have come to realize that our offense is what it is... as boring as it gets. Ball control, clock manangement, smart football, and strong defense will go a long way. I'm not about to second guess the second coming. Are you?

Good. I'm glad Gibbs said somthing. Going back to last week, Dockery actually did get a false start, and they just said the wrong number. They could have made those same calls last week, that they did last night and I honestly wouldnt be too upset today. We deserved to lose against the Giants. We didnt deserve to lose last night, thats why I'm so upset about it. I'm glad Gibbs said somthing today, he should. I also like how he stuck up for some of the players ( ala Coles ) today.

Our defense wasn't electrifying, but I don't think it was boring. We made some nice long balls, Gardner made me cheer, so did Coles on the goal line. I really think in time our offense could be fun to watch! At least we're not the Ravens! 8)

I heard a clip on 980 this afternoon where Gibbs said that both of those calls were really bad.

I wasn't bored at all during the game and kept having to restrain myself from roaring out expletives (during good and bad plays) at the tv and pissing off the neighbors, lol.

The final score could have been 3-0 and I wouldn't have called last night's game boring! I would like to see the Skins' offense put up about 30 points in a game though.

No doubt the refs sucked, but they did not get stuffed after getting 1st and goal at the 1/2 yard line. We get a TD and we take the refs out of the equation.
Anyone else here think we should have gone for it on 4th down there? I said it during the game and still think that way. I know we had no points yet, but even with the 3 we got, it felt like nothing. |
