Jordan Palmer

Yeah...Uhh I guess that means this draft is over. There are no other options left on the board than finding the right replica of a Pro Bowl QB.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

I like this pick. We need a young third string guy and he has the tools and size. Anyone who thinks we will find a stud DE in the last few rounds is dreaming.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

I like it too. Hopefully he gets a shot to earn Collins' job.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

So now when someone says "I think we should play the rookie" it means we're putting Palmer in?

Re: Jordan Palmer?

This was a not such a bad pick to fulfill the need for a young backup. It was a so so pick. Brunell is gone next year, who knows about Collins. Only thing that worries me is the worst case scenario and JC doesn't work out. This guy from what the Fox scouting report says locks on to one guy and throws floaters deep. 64 career INTs is not a good sign. We should have traded all of our remaining picks(rounds 5-7) for more 2-3 rounders next year, then get a young backup that might actually have a chance to do a decent job for us or even start if the JC experiment fails. Dumbass draft all around now.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

Being Carson's little bro, he's got it in his blood for sure. I like the pick as well. I suspected we might snag a QB with one of those 6th rd picks.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

Definitely a project pick. Let him develop in NFLE and on the practice squad for a while. Maybe we could even move Brunell in June if someone gets hurt. Bramlet's not really burning it up in NFLE.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

Geez, not one DE or DT. You would think they would have at least drafted one low ender just to get some youth for depth. If the geezers go down we are screwed, totally screwed on D line this season.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

I like the pick with are aging backup QB's. I would have liked a DE/ DT somewhere, but it looks like we'll be looking in FA.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

The more I look at it, I REALLY like this pick. He's 6-6, 231 lbs, and he played some WR in high school, so he's gotta be really athletic. This past season he was 7th in the country in yds/gm, and completed 66% of his passes for 3600 yds and 26 TDs. Could be a solid backup for us. Look at his profile (he looks exactly like Carson):

Re: Jordan Palmer?

Did anyone see that Ben Patrick was picked one pick before us?

Re: Jordan Palmer?

This feels like one of those picks that will leave us scratching our heads for years to come (see: Sage Rosenfels)

If this guy ends up with as much playing time as Sage it is a good pick.

Re: Jordan Palmer?

I like this pick as well, during his selection process it was said that many of the INT's he threw were not all his fault. It was also said he's not very mobile, but if you watch the short hightlight package put together on him, you may beg to differ.

I can't post a link right now, but if you go to Yahoo Sports/Wash. Redskins, there's a short highlight clip on all our draft picks except the TE from Mich.

Will someone please post the link so all can view.
