Coming Soon to ESPN...TAFKAS

After nearly 10 interviews with various managers and executives via phone and in person I have been hired by ESPN (so long as I pass a standard background check, I'm not worried. FRPLG did a good job hiding the body). So I won't be making any more Len Pasquarelli jokes. Anyhow, my official title will be Program Associate-Motorsports. Which should be interesting seeing as to how my knowledge of motorsports is quite limited. Anyhow, I'll be dealing with all motorsports related scheduling and programming across all ESPN platforms-tv, radio, web, magazine, mobile. Also, I'll be working on Summer Olympic qualifying events programming and lacrosse. For someone who has worked most of his professional career in sports and television I'm really excited about working at ESPN.

As some of you know these past few months I've gone through some pretty rough times both professionally and personally. It's why I wasn't able to do a lot of the things I've done in the past here-for example, create the draft and free agent spreadsheets. Gotta thank the mods, NY_Skinsfan, JoeRedskin, Cpayne5 and Redskins_P for listening to me whine and moan these last few months. So while I know it will be quite a change to up and move out of Washington, DC, my home since birth, and move to Connecticut it will be exciting to face a new challenge and start fresh after these past few months.

Anyhow, sorry for the emotional rant. Just wanted to let you guys know I got a new job with ESPN and I'm pretty excited about it. Also, thanks to my new ESPN colleague EEich for helping me out throughout the lengthy interview process
