Brian Williams

I can't find a link online yet, but according to ESPN2's Bottom Line the Vikings have pulled the transition tag on CB Brian Williams making him an unrestricted free agent.

He really stepped up last year for Minnesota when Smoot went down (insert cruise ship sex joke here) and I think he'll command a lot of money on the open market.

However, I'd love to have him as our nickel here. I think he'd be a great addition

Re: Brian Williams

Yeah, I like Williams too. But, I suspect he'll want a starting job (which we can't offer).

Re: Brian Williams

I think these days even a nickelback is almost like a starter. They play enough. But the question would he accept getting paid like a nickelback.

The only question I would have is with all the money that the Vikings have why are they letting him test the market?

They are a cheap ass franchise. They are constantly tens of millions under the cap.

Re: Brian Williams

What about Manuel from the Seahawks to replace Bowen or Ryan Clark? He had a great year with the Seahawks and should come at a reasonable price.
