We already know 14 of our 17 opponents next year. If the AFC West and NFC North is just as good next year; that’s going to be a killer schedule.

It’s a formula set by the nfl.

6 - division games
4 - one of the other nfc divisions every 3 years
4 - one of the afc divisions every 4 years
2 - You play one team from the other 2 nfc divisions, based on where you finished. Ie 1st place teams play other first place teams, etc…
1- A 5th afc team, based on some formula the nfl set up.


It will be interesting what that 18th game will be, when the nfl goes to 18 games by 2030.

I expect another huge offseason with the cap space and Peters' magic. He'll have a great idea where we need to upgrade after seeing a whole season. We will not be a team anyone wants to play next year or going forward.

Not too worried about next year right now though as we sit 10-5!

Yeah, this excellent season isn't even over yet, but that schedule for next year is serious high-wattage.

Its so nice to go to a bar and see people really excited when watching games. It was like a morgue watching games under Rivera and there seemed to be only a few Commanders fans in the place. Now its 90 percent Washington fans when the team is playing.

With all due respect I feel like it's way premature to even be talking about next year's schedule. We're in the thick of the playoff race. Save this discussion for the dog days of the offseason, we don't even know 3 of our opponents yet.

My only hope for the schedule is that our 1st home game in October is against the Giants. So I have a 1/8 or 1/9 chance to be happy.

my guess is we will be a thanksgiving day game. dallas v eagles and detroit v washington would be solid ratings on turkey day.

I hate primetime games, if I could have my way I would take 1:00 pm games every week. Don't forget you guys are for sure going to Europe to play someone.
