Let's talk defense

I thought this was our best defensive effort of the year. Odd to say that about agame in which they gave up 30 points but if we look at it and analyze what went down the points aren't a good indication of the overall performance.

13 of the points were basically set up by turnovers and or poor field position from the offense early on. In fact in the first half the defense was dominate except two plays. Eliminate those 2 plays and we are winning 14-3.

In the second half they held a good offense in check for 20 minutes or so. Then big plays hurt us again.

The big plays realy got us.

Jax was 2/13 of third down---that is sick
I believe they had 33 yards rushing---stiflng

Carter and Daniels finally showed up and Golston and Montgomery are really looking like quality players. Griffin asserted himself more than past weeks.

Most importantly Williams blitzed a lot more than he had. He looked like he actually had some confidence in the secodary.

If we can eliminate the big plays then that game isn't even close.

I think this was a good step foward for the D.
