Yeah, they had the #1 defense, but their #1 defense was on the field for almost 100 less snaps than the #2 and #3 defenses. They also allowed .4/.3 more yards per play than the BUffalo/Redskins.
Secondly, Big Ben excelled as a rookie, but with Plax gone I'm not so sure they can have Randel El step up into that #2 position. He was also put into a great situation for a rookie. Heath Miller could help save him, but late in the year, once teams had some film, he quickly dropped off in effeciency.
I can see the Bengals winning that division.

I agree about Pittsburgh. They never really dominated teams, but always did enough to squeak by. Thats not to say if the Skins were just to squeak by in 15 games , I'd be upset. But, they played against weaker opponents in the regular season (NFC East, AFC East) and AFC North was not very good either. I still think they are contenders, but they arent going to be within 4 games of 15-1.
