I imagine that, when dealing with talented subordinates, the difference between "I know what I am supposed to be doing - just do what I say" and "Tell me how can we improve?" is a fine line for a coach to walk, like in any management position - but even more so in the hyper-competitive, testosterone driven arena that is pro-football.

I'm with you, Joe. I clearly remember the phrase, "Haslett has lost the locker room" being bandied about.
It would appear that he has regained the locker room by setting his ego aside. If so, that's good leadership.
