I agree with you, but to counter the point you brought up. Clinton Portis did an interview a while back about a game in his rookie season ( I don't know if it was his birthday the night before or not ) in which he played hung over and ran for something like 200 yards and 2 or 3 TDs. This was while playing for Shanny in Denver.

That is just one example of many of NFL players playing successfully hung over. Another that comes to mind was the white WR from one of the first few Super Bowls who played the game hungover because he didn't think he would play and was very successful as well. It is a problem though.
