The Redskins players and coaches must have thought that the Giants were going to dink and dunk their way to the endzone and (erroneously) played the short pass. I feel that the fault lies on both players and coaches. As SS said, as a veteran, Williams should have known not to expose himself by being too close to the LOS knowing that he doesn't have the speed to compensate. And someone in the coaching staff should have notice this and made adjustments.
