When he died his second wife, after my great-great-grandmother passed away, sold off the place so she could move back to Ireland.
Here is a picture of an ad for the whisky they also brewed; the ad is from the original Washington Times c. 1901. My cousin's girlfriend did research to find this for his birthday since he's sort of named after the guy:
