I never even heard about this before you mentioned it. But (and I'm only answering this because you asked, it's not my intent to start racial discussions) if the guy beaten/stripped/robbed had been black and the criminals white, no doubt it'd probably be a national story by now, and Jesse Jackson would probably be booking his plane ticket to Baltimore.

EDIT: Scud is on point, both on moving this to the proper forum and in regards to the story.
