Yeah, probably not the best idea to come out with a full length movie. I could appreciate a short tribute, especially with the likes of Will Sasso and Sean Hayes (of Will & Grace fame) but not a full feature.
3 stooges to me is legendary and still funny to this day, and this is coming from a guy that absolutely hates pre-80's cinema, especially black and white shows and movies.
Speaking of slap-stick comedy.
