The 40 is a small part of a big picture. We're also seeing him backing up his listed height and weight as well as impress teams and media pundits alike who are getting a chance to meet him for the first time.
Also keep in mind that a lot of teams that have been suspected to be involved in a trade up are meeting face to face for the first time in a while.
Either way this is not happening overnight. He's been projected to go #2 since maybe as far back as the start of the playoffs. It's not like he was suppose to be a late 1st early 2nd round pick and now teams are suddenly rushing to see how much the Rams want for the second pick.
