The view from Lindy's publication is not positive..........
we are predicted to rank 4th in the division. With the Eagles in 1st, the Gints in 2nd, 3. Cryboys 3rd
I loved this comment about Sean Taylor
"LOOKS LIKE A LINEBACKER, RUNS LIKE A DEER, ACTS LIKE A CHILD"
But nonetheless when comparing units to the entire league their are some definite POSITIVES:
TIGHT ENDS-Although the Redskins are not ranked in the top 10, in the UNDERATED TANDEM: they did give kudos to Cooley and Robert Royal.
RUNNINGBACKS:
Portis was ranked 5th (1. Holmes, 2. Tomlinson, 3. Lewis, 4. Dillion)
Portis and Lewis are the only RBs to average 100 or more yards per game over the past 3 years.
OFFENSIVE LINE-
REDSKINS RANKED 3rd-The addition of Rabach and return of Jansen wll equate into heightened play. (1. Chefs, 2. Colts, 3. Skins, 4. Dallas, 5. Steelers).
GUARDS-
None other than our own Randy Thomas was ranked #2, topped only by Will Shields of the Chefs.
CENTERS-
BEST ADDITION-Casey Rabach
DEFENSIVE TACKLES-
Cornelius Griffin was ranked 6th (1. Jenkins-Carolina, 2. Stroud Jags,3.
Rogers Detroit, 4. Williams Vikings, 5. Hampton Steelers).
OUTSIDE LINEBACKERS-
Lavar Arrington ranked 5th (interesting considering he didnt play much) and Marcus Washington ranked 9th
INSIDE LINEBACKERS-
None in the top 10, but Lemar Marshall got it kudos for breakout season in the NFC for LBs.
OVERALL FOR LINEBACKERS THE REDSKINS RANKED #4
(1. Denver, 2. Buffalo, 3. San Diego)
SAFETIES-
Sean Taylor was ranked 9th
PUNTERS-Tom Tupa ranked 3rd (1. Lechler Raiders, 2. Berger Saints)
