Those are good points but I think players should get big salaries based on total accomplishments - not potential and what they did when healthy.
I mean, come on!!! 5 mill/year???? That's more than Smoot got. Are you telling me you'd rather have Moss signed than Smoot?
Look at it this way - if we had signed Smoot for that contract WE COULD HAVE DRAFTED MIKE WILLIAMS.
Who would you rather have? Fred Smoot and Mike Williams; or Santana Moss and Carlos Rogers?????
