UHM those prescedents were set into place to promote diversity in the school government over 30 years ago. What is getting overlooked is the original intent of the rule to allow a multitude of races to run for office. Is it scary that a 30 year old rule is still in place...maybe? Should that rule have been looked at a couple of decades ago? Sure, but this is nothing more than a case of oversight.

There are many Laws in our country that don't make any freakin sense. To expect a public school system to be immune from this type of oversight is just simply unrealistic.
