When Jimmy Johnson took over as coach of the prostrate Cowboys years ago, he ran players through tryouts and training camp at a remarkable pace. Several players would come in and be quickly evaluated and, if he didn't think they could help, he would cut them and bring in some more. It was a constant cycle.
It turned out, by doing this, he found some players who could help the team. If trying out many players could help JJ and the Cowboys then, why couldn't it help Shanahan and the Redskins now?
