Re: Sam Bradford's pro day workout should clear up top of NFL draft
Well it is a very subjective statement, and it would depend on where and for who he plays.
Playing in a major football conference; Big 12, and a major college program; Oklahoma, his 2 full seasons were ridiculous. His fresh & soph stats: 565/824 for 68.5%; comp%, 7,841 yds, 86 TDs, 16 Int, 178.68 QB rating, and a Heisman Trophy. He was poised to have his best year yet before injury.
His Pro-Day brought comments like "Best since Aikman"-Gil Brandt: "Best Pro-Day I've seen in 6 years"-Mike Mayock: "He killed it"-Todd McShay among many others, but those 3 are well respected NFL analysts.
He has incredible accuracy and intelligence, a legit NFL arm, quick release, and good decision making skills, according to multiple scouts. He has all the tools you would look for in a 'Franchise QB'.
Past performance is no guarantee, but with the NFL adopting more of a spread type passing game which fits Bradford's style, I think he has as good a chance as anyone to the best QB in the next decade.
