Being that I'm in college, its basically a good way to stay in touch with high school friends, people I have classes with in case I'm planning on skipping, etc. It's also a great way for me to keep up with what my old friends are doing in life, where they're going and have been.. You get the idea.
I do have random people on there, but that's pretty much to help me out on some of the game apps, that requires you to have a certain amount of friends (who too have the game app) to proceed in later levels in the game. We don't talk or anything.
Facebook is starting to turn into myspace now, being used as a dating tool. Such as the girl who found a guy with the same name as her...

But the whole idea of posting on here to get your friend, more friends, is... Odd, to put it nicely. Your best bet is her trying to look up high school friends and college friends. Hell I even got people on there I went to Elementary school with.
