Being younger and using facebook from the day I started undergrad, I dont have as pessimistic of an attitude about it.

There are privacy concerns, but with settings and simply not accepting everyone that can be mitigated. Also its obvious not all of those people are your friends. I use it more as a networking tool. It is a really easy way to stay in touch with old college buddies and maybe just connections that you have. It can always help down the road if you are interviewing, need a lift in a random town, etc. It can hurt as well.

Pretty much my thoughts about facebook in a nutshell.
