I've also noticed that following Notre Dame games, whether it be NBC or ESPN, the story was always about Charlie Weis and his seniors. Win, lose, or draw the immediate interviews were always with Weis.

I felt bad for Connecticut after they beat Notre Dame, same with Stanford and Navy, how it was all about whether Weis was staying or going.
Nothing new there. Is the average joe sports fan more likely to change the channel if the network is talking about Stanford winning a ball game or the head coach of Notre Dame losing his job? They always sensationalize the stories about the big names. Do people want to see what a teary-eyed Tebow has to say about a big loss or listen to Greg McElroy?

Right or wrong, they are more focused on what keeps the viewers, and many times that's not the meat of the story.
