I partially blame the redskins "pound the rock" philosophy for him getting worn out. Somebody earlier in the year compiled a list of runningbacks and how many carries they have had vs. their production, and Portis was found to be at a high risk of breaking down. That was posted before this season, when the injuries absolutley caught up with him and he looked done. Looking at other backs on that list, Age had nothing to do with it if a RB didn't have as many carries. They had plenty that performed well into their 30's and higher. Earl Campbell comes to mind...
With that said, we need to move on from him and his bloated salary after this season. Especially with the prospect of an uncapped year...

I dont have a problem with the Skins pounding him, he's a RB and that's what you do with RBs. What I have the problem with is how much they paid him. You just dont pay RBs that much money because then you are really locked in with them.
