Yeah I just don't think you always "lose respect" for someone if they aren't playing well.
By all accounts JC works hard on and off the field, so I'm sure he has a basic level of respect from his teammates for that. Sure he's not playing well and of course you have to start by looking at his play, but there are a bunch of other factors at work as well that is contributing to his poor play. It's not as easy as just pointing the finger at him alone.
