Rinehart Out, Mike Williams In (with Inactives)
Big Mike Williams is scheduled to start at right guard today in place of Chad Rinehart.
Williams hasn't played in the regular season since 2005 and primarily has been a tackle throughout his career. According to the Redskins' media guide, Williams, while with the Buffalo Bills in 2005, started a game at left guard against the Kansas City Chiefs. And the team adds that he also started at right guard for Buffalo on Nov. 27, 2005 -- his last NFL game, which was against Carolina.
After signing with Washington in April, Williams rapidly shed about 80 pounds and made the opening 53-man roster. He was active in the first four games as a backup this season but did not play. Rinehart - a third-round draft pick in 2008 - took over at right guard after Randy Thomas was lost for the season in the second game because of a triceps injury.
The Inactives: Hunter Smith, Kevin Barnes, Anthony Alridge, Edwin Williams, Robert Henson, Marko Mitchell, Anthony Mongtomery and Rinehart.
