I said in a earlier post I wouldnt trade for him unless it was a low pick. I wouldnt go trading the farm for a guy who is probably going to be released. Odds are though we wouldnt trade for him since he isnt a great fit here. I agree with all of that.

I dont like when people take stats and break them down. While its a great tidbit that he only had 3.5 sacks over 14 games the bottom line is he had 8 sacks last year. Hell id rather have a LB who had big games vs division rivals. A drop from 12.5 to 8 isnt dramatic imo.

Ellis is still a player who can make plays and it shouldnt take him too long to find another team if hes released. It just seems to me people look at his age and say he must be on the decline. Maybe he will hit that decline but as of right now with 20.5 sacks over the last 2 years he still can get to the QB as far as I know.
