this system is flawed... even though my team benefits this year, i still hate the bcs. it's a sham when a conference champ that goes undefeated in its conference can't play in the dance.

but au fans shouldn't slam either sc or ou... it is the system's fault, not theirs. both teams did what they had to do. defending my boys, yes we did have a few close games this year. but we were the no. 1 target each and every game as preseason number one, regular season number one, and now end-of-season number one. as the number one team in the nation, you are the opponent's super bowl of the year. so we have a few games where the score is way closer than you'd like- who doesn't in college football?

we beat va-tech in basically their house (if you were at the game like i was, you know it was a home game). many considered the acc the strongest conference in the country before the year started. we beat cal, who was jobbed outta the bcs as well. not blaming texas, but if cal lost out b/c of a close win against southern miss., then what about texas against kansas? both teams in the orange bowl have beaten one bcs bowl team... if it was switched between cal and texas, sc would have been the only team in the nation to beat TWO bcs bowl teams this season. say what you want about close wins, that is amazing.

besides- coaches, not just ap writers, must be on to something. having said that, if we played like we did against ucla, ou will spank us january 4th.
