First of all, you can continue to play well in college and be a first rounder next year. Secondly, the second deal you get is the big money deal, so its more important to one's financial future to be good and successful at what they do then to be drafted high and not be as successful as they could be.
Finally, committing to the draft doesn't ensure you will be a high first round pick. It just ensures that you can't go back to college.
