That being said, Josh Howard lost a ton of respect from me. I am disgusted at his lack of respect for the country that is making him rich.

1. Obama should be more aware of the image he is portraying, absolutely.
2. I wasn't taught this in school, and I'm sure many others aren't either. The only way I knew it is from my parents and being in the military. I can promise you the public school system (at least in Virginia Beach) is not spending any time teaching the US Flag Code.
3. I don't believe that.
You've read several of my other posts, you know I am diametrically opposed to Obama on most issues. But that's the point, I disagree with him philosophically and on issues, not because he didn't put his hand on his heart during the National Anthem a few times. That was my point of posting the Bush picture, what was his hidden agenda by putting his hand on his stomach? None, just a camera on a guy 24x7 and he got lazy for a few moments. Is he not patriotic now?
I guess I'm just fed up with the trash that both sides have put out in election, after election, after election, and it seems to get worse every year.
Something that made me think (which is one of the reasons I enjoy this site, the diverse viewpoints), I was looking at a post saden made a while ago stating his positions on major issues and about 70-80% of his positions were things I agreed with. You would never think that possible if you just looked at the positions he and I take in arguing left vs. right issues (it surprised me).
My point is, it sure would be nice if the folks we send to Congress and the White House could focus on staightening out the 70-80% of things a vast majority of us agree on and work/compromise on the other stuff, rather than the constant partisan bickering and neither side wanting to give an inch on anything because it may affect a special interest contribution or come back to haunt them in a future election.
